Tax Problems
• Tax Debt
• Non-Filers
Enrolled Agents are licensed to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service. As part of this process, a power-of-attorney may be filed with either the Internal Revenue Service or the Massachusetts Department of Revenue. This power-of-attorney allows us to provide and receive information regarding a taxpayer’s unresolved tax issues. It also means that we will receive copies of notices sent to our client from the Federal or State governments where the power-of-attorney is filed and that the government agents involved will contact our firm directly, thereby reducing stress on our clients. As part of our representation services, we may request transcripts of a taxpayer’s account, negotiate installment agreements, or work within the offer in compromise program. If you have failed to file tax returns or have outstanding tax debt, you should contact our office to discuss your options.
